Pedestrian Enhancements at North Park Mini Park
Attention all adventurers of the North Park Mini Park! Phase II, aka the North Park Mini Park Pedestrian Improvements Project, is on the move! Picture this: safe sidewalks, smooth driveways, and curb ramps that'll make your heart race (in a good way). And hold onto your hats, folks, because we're throwing in some traffic-calming wizardry along North Park Way – say goodbye to those speedy street racers! With our construction maestro, James Torres, at the helm, we're cruising towards a summer 2024 finish line. So lace up those walking shoes and get ready for a sidewalk safari like no other! Visit this page for more information.
Did you know??
Back in 1907, the West End Tract got its first residential makeover – talk about a century-old glow-up! Bordered by University Avenue, Ray, Upas, and 28th Streets, this historic neighborhood has seen it all. And guess what? One of the OG buildings to snag a permit was none other than a quaint cottage at 3775 Utah Street, estimated at a cool $1,400. Fast forward to today, and that same cottage is still standing tall, now proudly owned by Ed Orozco and Jeff Vigneau. Talk about a blast from the past with a modern twist – who knew history could be so charmingly chic? Check out the whole story here: The Cottage on Utah Street by Ed Orozco, October 2007 – North Park Historical Society.
Maintenance Assessment District Reballoting Survey
Fellow North Parkers! The City and the MAD advisory board are on a mission to make sure the MAD (that's the Maintenance Assessment District, not your crazy neighbor) is hitting the mark and serving our community like a champ. We want to hear from YOU! Whether you're a property owner or a resident, your input is golden. So, grab a cup of coffee, put your thinking cap on, and dive into this survey faster than you can say 'extra services, please!' By the way, this survey is being run by the MAD advisory board, not the BANF.
